Some of the Many
Results You Can Expect to Achieve with MeemBay's Approach.
An enhanced sense of purpose and meaning.
Our work often leads to the installation of, or at least a clarification
and improved communication of an organization's vision and mission.
So when an individual has the opportunity to "live"in
an organizational culture that is clear about its shared vision
and mission, and also uses it as a compass, then the person has
an elevated sense of purpose and meaning.
Core values used as a benchmark. An explicit
set of organizational values is orienting, stabilizing and motivational
for the members of the culture. They are more aligned with the
organization's mission. The core values serve as a benchmark in
tough - sometimes, very tough - decisions individuals make. The
decision making process is markedly enlightened, improved and
mutually beneficial.
Assistance with getting better. Getting
better is really at multiple levels. Our assistance often leads
individuals, groups and whole organizations to become more effective
at what they do. We work with dysfunctional dyads, groups and
whole organizations to improve functionality and mutually beneficial
reciprocity.
Performance enhancement. With
our focus on augmenting core competencies, your organization's
intellectual capital continually improves its capabilities to
contribute to organizational performance. This often leads to
enhanced mastery in a person's relationship with themselves, interpersonally
or in their management or leadership skills.
Reintroduce some rationality. Elsewhere
in our Competencies we have alluded
to the importance of spotting non-rational thinking and behavior
and then finding ways to defuse it. People are quick to "read
others' minds" and then jump to conclusions. Moreover, the
inferences they draw are, frankly, rarely accurate. A common and
startling example is the high-achieving perfectionist who comes
to be viewed as having an "attitude problem." There
are lots of these folks running around out there, obviously, and
most of them have little understanding about the counterproductive
facets of their perfectionism. So, they end up battering those
who are less perfectionistic than they. Soon they come to be viewed
as "aggressive," a "troublemaker" or "gone
haywire." We often get called upon to reintroduce some rationality,
understanding and patience. Frequently HR and management breathe
a sigh of relief, and the employee too as is often the case.
A more humane working environment. You
may find many kinds of organizational
innovations could emerge as a result of our work while remaining
true to your organization's vision and mission.

"When
you retire, you won't remember what you did in the first
quarter of 1994 or the third. What you will remember is
how many people you developed - how many people you helped
have a better career because of your interest in and dedication
to their development. That's what you'll remember. When
confused as to how you are doing as a leader, find out how
the people you lead are doing. Then you'll know the answer"
